홍역, 유행성 이하선염, 풍진 포함 백신 (MMR, 엠엠알)에 대한 예방 접종은 1960년대 이러한 백신 도입에 따라 미국에서 홍역, 유행성 이하선염, 풍진 감염의 수가 감소한 것으로 나타나듯이 홍역, 유행성 이하선염, 풍진 감염을 예방하는 데 효과적입니다.

 

체계적 문헌고찰에서 단일 코호트 연구의 소아 풍진 백신의 효과는 89% (95% CI 58-97%)였습니다.
