Criterion 1 
피부 증상과 징후는 아나필락시스의 90%까지 존재하므로 이 기준은 진단을 하는데 빈번하게 도움이 됩니다.
Acute onset of an illness (minutes to several hours) involving the skin, mucosal tissue, or both (eg, generalized hives, pruritus or flushing, swollen lips-tongue-uvula) and at least one of the following:
■ Respiratory compromise 
     (eg, dyspnea, wheeze/bronchospasm, stridor, reduced peak expiratory flow, hypoxemia)
OR
■ Reduced blood pressure (BP) or associated symptoms and signs of end-organ malperfusion 
    (eg, hypotonia [collapse], syncope, incontinence)

 
Criterion 2 
피부 증상 또는 징후는 아나필락시스의 20%까지 존재하지 않거나 인지되지 않을 수 있으므로 이 기준은 피부 증상, 호흡기 증상, 혈압 감소에 더하여 위장관 증상을 포함시켰습니다. 
Two or more of the following that occur rapidly after exposure to a likely allergen for that patient (minutes to several hours):
■ Involvement of the skin-mucosal tissue 
    (eg, generalized hives, itch-flush, swollen lips-tongue-uvula).
■ Respiratory compromise 
    (eg, dyspnea, wheeze/bronchospasm, stridor, reduced peak expiratory flow, hypoxemia).
■ Reduced BP or associated symptoms and signs of end-organ malperfusion 
    (eg, hypotonia [collapse], syncope, incontinence).
■ Persistent gastrointestinal symptoms and signs 
    (eg, crampy abdominal pain, vomiting).

 
Criterion 3 
이 기준은 오직 한 개의 기관만 관련된 아나필락시스를 찾기 위해 의도된 것으로, 알레르기 반응(예, 벌에 쏘인 후 저혈압 또는 쇼크)인 것으로 알려진 물질에 노출된 환자에게 적용될 수 있습니다.
Reduced BP after exposure to a known allergen for that patient (minutes to several hours):
■ Reduced BP in adults is defined as a systolic BP of less than 90 mmHg or greater than 30 percent decrease from that person's baseline
■ In infants and children, reduced BP is defined as low systolic BP (age-specific)* or greater than 30 percent decrease in systolic BP
  * Low systolic BP for children is defined as:
     •Less than 70 mmHg from 1 month up to 1 year
     •Less than (70 mmHg + [2 x age]) from 1 to 10 years
     •Less than 90 mmHg from 11 to 17 years

이 기준들의 어떤 것도 충족시키지 못하지만 에피네프린의 투약이 적절할 수 있는 환자가 있을 수 있습니다. 예를 들면, 견과류를 먹은 후 몇 분 이내에 발생한 두드러기와 홍조를 주소로 내원한 환자가 이전에 견과류를 먹고 near-fatal anaphylaxis를 경험한 적이 있다면 에피네프린 투약이 적절할 수 있습니다.
